This painting is one of the first ones I did in my trip to Algonquin park this fall, The colors of the park were superb, almost as if nature had decided to become an impressionistic painter, vivid reds, yellows, greens and every thing in between, I did some last touches in my studio.

The last Saturday of September ad the two first Saturdays of October, i will be teaching a workshop on the Canadian impressionist Manly MacDonald.

The Parrott Gallery in town has an extensive collection of this artist , each of the students will have a painting of Manly for three Saturdays to copy  under my instructions. 

This two paintings above are copies I did myself in order to understand and also to measure the timing that will take to do them. I have to say that his paintings are a bit muddy due to the bad varnishes and the pass of time plus also he always paint outdoors, non the less there are so many things to learn from this great artist.

I did this Mural four years ago, and because the cold and the natural elements it was peeling a lot, plus the color was disappearing, so i fix it. I change the image inside the arch and add a green sign , plus fix all the spots that were peeling .

Hice este mural hace cuatro anos, pero debido a la temperaturas canadienses, el mural se estaba pelando y perdiendo el color en muchas partes, asi que lo he arreglado. he cambiado la imagen de dentro del arco, tambien he anadido un letreto en fondo verde, y pintado todas las partes que se estaban plelando.

I have to say that by doing this painting and copying some of this graffiti that I have a lot of respect for the work of these artists.

One more painting of the sand dunes, it is impossible to paint only one painting and trying to catch all the feeling of this place. Also, since a lot of these subjects are new for me, I like to give a second try  so I understand better what is going on in the painting  aspect.
